One of the hidden challenges for communities across the country is the issue of isolation. We believe that God made us to be in community, which means that it is particularly hard when you are unable to get out and see the community beyond the immediate place where you live. Isolation is a particular issue in rural communities and one that often goes unchallenged.
For this reason we have a number of ministries that seek to support those who are unable to get out and about in the way that they once did. Across a number of the Cornerstone communities we offer singing and pastoral care in the Nursing homes.
In the Silloth nursing home we have partnered with one of the local schools to minister to those in care through fun acts of worship.
